Lisa Harris’ writing has won awards and been anthologized. Her poetry chapbooks, Dwelling Space, a book length poem, and Traveling Through Glass, (a poetry collection created in collaboration with Patricia Brown) explore the universe, one piece at a time. Her novels, ‘Geechee Girls, Allegheny Dream, and The Raven’s Tale (Ravenna Press) form The Quest Trilogy and have been categorized as Northern Appalachian literature. Harris has taught and administered at private and public schools and colleges in Georgia, Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania. She also served as an Associate Fellow at the Institute for Writing and Thinking at Bard College where she earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Avery Graduate School. She lives with her husband, Jeff Spence, and their dog, Champion in the Finger Lakes Region of New York.
