LISA HARRIS

thumbnail_Harris_headshotLisa Harris’ writing has won awards and been anthologized. Her poetry chapbooks include, Broken Open, (Wasteland Press), Dwelling Space, a book length poem, and Traveling Through Glass, (a poetry collection created in collaboration with Patricia Brown) explore the universe, one piece at a time. Her novels, ‘Geechee Girls, Allegheny Dream, and The Raven’s Tale (Ravenna Press) form The Quest Trilogy and have been categorized as Northern Appalachian literature. Harris currently serves on the advisory board of the Northern Appalachia Literary Review and Writing Conference. She has taught and administered at private and public schools and colleges in Georgia, Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College. She lives with her husband, Jeff Spence, and their dog, Champion, in the Finger Lakes Region of New York.
